The Cook And Other Treasures on DVD

PostFri Jun 01, 2012 4:00 pm

Just a quick announcement that THE COOK AND OTHER TREASURES is back in print! It's now a MOD, but since we did new copies at replication lab and the films are relatively short, the quality is exactly the same as the Image DVDs. You can find it on our website with the new cover design here at http://milestonefilms.com/products/the-cook-and-other-treasures

And through Monday, June 4 if you enter CELEBRATE as the coupon code, you get an additional 10% off the already 20% discounted price on most of our DVDs.

So, to clarify, this title is now on burned DVD-R?

Also, will the upcoming Chase and Pickford sets be pressed DVDs or burned DVD-Rs?

Darn, I was hoping I could order Picadilly, but looks like it's already gone out of print. Hope you can bring that title back out as well.

Still, thanks for the code Dennis, I wound up getting quite a few goodies anyway (Winsor McCay, I Am Cuba, White Thunder/The Viking, and Best Friends (for my Aussie gal)). Celebrate indeed!

The Cook is a DVD-R because there's no difference in compression or look. Pickford will definitely be pressed DVDs and BluRay. Haven't decided totally on Chase, but probably pressed.

If you have a region free DVD player (and you should) the UK pressing can still be found relatively cheap.

I do, and I just did! Thanks, Battra92!

Sometimes Amazon Marketplace won't let me order stuff from U.S. or U.K. sellers, but this went through like a charm.

Now where's a quality release of Variety?
