MIKE Intact?

PostSat Jul 29, 2017 6:04 am

According to what I see on Wikipedia (under "List of early color feature films"), a complete print of MIKE (1926) was found at the Library of Congress in December 2015. Previously the third and fourth reels were supposedly missing. Has anyone heard anything more about this?

Whoever prepared the Wikipedia page apparently consulted the Library of Congress American Silent Feature Film Database. The record for MIKE notes that the film was preserved by MGM, and is missing reels 3 and 4.

This information came from the Library of Congress, but the information does not state that the film is at the Library of Congress.

So it's apparently erroneous, then? Pity...

What I am taking away from this record is that it is MGM studio library that holds whatever survives of this film.
