Before the world was obsessed with Game of Thrones, fans of mythical creatures were swept away by the art of Ray Harryhausen. His hand-crafted, stop-motion-animated cyclops, sword-fighting skeleton, and fire-breathing dragon are the true stars of the Technicolor fantasy The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. After a ruthless sorcerer shrinks his bride-to-be, the hero must retrieve a magic lamp from a faraway island (full of said monsters) in order to restore her to full size. With a score by Bernard Herrmann. (87 mins., 4K DCP)

Revisit a mid-60s cult classic with this restoration of King of Hearts. Set in World War I, the absurdist satire stars Alan Bates as Private Plumpick, a Scottish soldier sent into an abandoned French village to diffuse a bomb left by the retreating German army. Once there, he meets the new locals—all former residents of a nearby psychiatric asylum who’ve escaped and assumed titles and roles such as “the Duke” or “the barber.” Welcomed as the “King of Hearts” by the village’s inhabitants, Plumpick is left to weigh the collective insanity of his new friends against the madness of war just outside the town walls. Also with Geneviève Bujold. (102 mins., 4K DCP)

Adapted from Henry Fielding’s classic novel and the winner of four Academy Awards, this buoyant, bawdy comedy stars a dashing Albert Finney in the title role. An abandoned child taken in by a local squire, Tom Jones grows into a charming rogue with a near-insatiable appetite for the ladies. When the squire’s son convinces his father that Tom is a villain, he is cast out, taking him away from the hand of his one true love (Susannah York) and setting him off on a series of amorous adventures before he crosses paths with his flame once again.
