There are a ton of films from the 1910s with strong female leads, especially serials. The Perils of Pauline (1914) and The Hazards of Helen (1915) are two great examples. The surviving chapters of The Perils of Pauline are available from Grapevine Video on DVD. There is only a crummy quality DVD of some surviving Hazards of Helen episodes on DVD, but the National Film Preservation Foundation has restored a few of these.
Collen Moore always played a strong female lead later in her career when she and her husband produced her First National films. Why Be Good? (1929) is available in an excellent edition from the Warner Archive.
