Paul Whiteman was quite diverse in the many types of music his band performed. Today he is remembered for giving jazz a boost and providing a platform for some top jazz musicians such as Bix Beiderbecke. But PW was also partial to the classics and even opera. Here are two sides from 1928 with songs from Rudolf Friml's hit operetta, THE THREE MUSKETEERS, that I copied directly from an original 78 and restored with audio software:
