Questions authorship of the "Tara" theme??? I'm sure Nathan has seen CRIME SCHOOL, THEY MADE ME A CRIMINAL, and several other pre-WIND Steiner scores that featured the genesis of "Tara".

Making Music for Selznick. Oh, those poor composers. And Forbes the quisling!! Should be a fun read!

Yes Ray, he goes into great detail about the Tara theme and its genesis. PLUS he has read through all the production files and memos related to the music in Selznick's films and quotes liberally from them. It's a MUST HAVE book!

One of the squibs promoting the book is from Dimitri Tiomkin. I'm assuming they actually mean Jr., since the real Tiomkin died in 1979.
