I had found that a couple months ago or so. Interesting. I didn't posted cause I was afraid of people call me crazy, after my complains about LED TVs and HD broadcast quality.

The 2K looks obsolet indeed. Even the 4K intermediation are not ideal, missing some details specially in digital printing back to film.

I believe there are limits in optics, cause when the light penetrate the surfasse emulsion it started to diffuse a bit ultil reach the the lower portion of emulsion.

Anyway we will never see such true camera negative details, since digital vídeo compression kills a lot, even in vídeos without noticeable artefacts, and LED TV also kills detaisl in motion. Look you mouse cursos on a LED monitor, and keep the eyes on it while it goes from one side to another on the screen. See how it look blured.
And people think LED displays are great... People are crazy !!!

And today nearly everything get noise reduction, to reduce grain, and so more details are killed in this process.
