Harry Langdon's cameo in "Washee Ironee" (1934)

PostTue Feb 21, 2017 1:53 am

Yesterday I bought the DVD "Best Of Spanky." It contains 5 of the "Our Gang" short films. They are viewable either in color or black & white. While watching "Washee Ironee," in color. Near the end of the film, when the police wagon and the cars collide. Something caught my eye. There is a quick flash to a group of spectators on the sidewalk. I spotted Harry Langdon as one of the spectators. He is the spectator on the far left. I freeze framed it and ran it back and forth just to confirm my suspicions. The person's facial features are similar to Harry and his hat is the same style as the ones Harry wore in all his films. I've watched this film dozens of times in black & white and never had noticed this before. I have sent this information to IMDB to be added to the cast of the film as well as to Harry Langdon's screen credits.

If you mean the guy on the left, I think that's actually Dick Gilbert.

Nope. Wrong, That's definitely not Harry Langdon. Looks like Dick Gilbert as already posted above.
