Great at playing comic monsters, like his boss in My Favorite Year.

Bologna's 1971 film with Renee Taylor, Made for Each Other about two misfits who meet in a group therapy session. Bologna played Giggy Panimba, a failure at everything he's tried, and Taylor played Pandora Gold, a supremely untalented cabaret performer. Loosely based on their owns lives. I remember this as being hysterically funny and hysterically sad. When Panimba decides to go into a seminary, his mother (Olympia Dukakis) goes with him. Taylor's act as Rita Hayworth singing "Fire Down Below" is a classic bit.
