Lantern site issues

PostTue Nov 07, 2017 3:47 pm

Has anyone else had problems with this site today? It worked fine yesterday, but attempts at simple searches today return the dreaded "ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid in CatalogController#index" message. I guess I'll go do something else and return later when it's back up and functioning correctly (I hope!).

The Lantern server (and search) was down for several hours today to double the amount of RAM. This will enhance our search platform’s speed, reliability, and capacity for the foreseeable future.

That volume wasn't scanned by Media History Digital Library. It was contributed by the California State Library and indexed into Lantern.

Our approach is that we are grateful for the work of others, even if it is not perfect. We hope that others will feel the same way towards us.
