Indeed. It will prevent much needless bloodshed.

Some of Florence's better films that are on DVD were 1923, 1924, and 1925 (ie The Girl of Gold, Barbara Frietchie, etc), so we should be glad that she was able to keep her career going after King.

Did you mean 1925 for the year of King and Florence Vidor's divorce? Exhibitor's Herald of 18 July 1925, page 36, carries a report of their just-granted divorce with a 7 July dateline. (If it were an interlocutory degree, it wouldn't have been final until later, perhaps a year.)

Eleanor Boardman may have continuously owned the Tower Lane property, but she spent most of her time in Europe (chiefly Paris) between 1933 and 1940. She and Harry d'Arrast were married in Paris on 1 June 1940, thus staying nearly until the country fell to Germany. They were able to evacuate, however.

Thanks for the information. I particularly enjoyed reading about Boardman renting the place to Rachmaninoff. Fascinating. He died in Beverly Hills a year after moving in. I wonder if he died in that house.

Note that the composer's first name is Sergei, not Serge.
