16mm Chaplin Gold Rush (1925 version)

PostFri Mar 30, 2018 7:23 pm

Many of you are probably familiar with the 16mm version of Chaplin's 1925 version of The Gold Rush with the repetitive organ score (the theme is heard ad nauseum throughout the picture). Our library had a copy of this and I found a copy of it through ebay years ago, and still have it. Does anybody know who scored this version and who was the distributor (GM, Niles, etc.)?

Checking my old catalogs, Griggs-Moviedrome, Thunderbird Films, and Select Films sold The Gold Rush in 16mm with a soundtrack in the 1970s.
