That reminds me: the Keaton talkies set, is it captioned? Kino's PR never mentions captioning, but I think they released the Educational set after they accepted the policy of captioning all talkies.

Just checked my blu-ray of the Educational set, and there are no subtitles/captions. Presumably, the DVD set is the same.

While that's a good sale, note that their shipping costs can be kind of high. They are shipped from the same warehouses as DeepDiscount (which has free shipping) so double check both sites and sometimes DD can be cheaper.

I took advantage of this sale and just received the shipment. I was charged $68.57 total, less than $7 each, including shipping, so there was no further reduction from VAT subtraction. It was touch and go whether I would find ten films I wanted from the selection offered.

And the annoying thing is that next year there will be pretty much the same selection, so it will get even harder to find ten films. I have been there.

:D I didn't know it was a regular sale. I have begun checking them out.

The amazing thing about the packaging/shipping was that anyone along the way could have opened the end flap, taken something out, and tucked the end flap back in… Maybe they checked that out and didn't like old movies!

WowHD are selling a great many Warner Archive titles for £8.65 inclusive of postage - which is really cheap for those of us in the UK. They are also selling Grapevine titles for under £7. And, if you're in the US, they are doing the blu-ray of Wings for under ten dollars.

Please note that all titles on WowHD are region 1/region A.

Whenever a Flicker Alley title is discounted on Amazon,
it's a good idea to check their other titles.

For example, Cinerama's Seven Wonders of the World is $21.72 right now:

Oldies.com has a handful of the deluxe Ford at Fox box sets (21 discs!) for $60. I think original list was something like $300. Worth getting for sure!

Silents in the set include The Iron Horse, 3 Bad Men, Hangman's House, Four Sons and Just Pals.
