Thanks for being a glutton for punishment, Ed. Mike, can you pin this to the top of the Silent News group until it's funded?

Bob

2. You might reach your funding goal more rapidly if,
with the help of a few typos, you promote it as
- Marryin' Davies as ... The Bride Splayed.

LOL.............

The restored print is being trotted out this summer. This is probably the first public showing of this Marion Davies film since 1922!

Blurb from Mostly Lost 5

"Bride’s Play” (1922) This is the first screening of the newly preserved Marion Davies vehicle that Hearst released under his own production company. The plot revolves around an Irish tradition of a bride making a round of the guests at the wedding and asking each man in turn if he is the one she loves the best. Everything changes when the man she truly loves appears. Directed by George Terwilliger. Starring, Marion Davies, John B. O’Brien, and Wyndham Standing.

Let's prove them wrong!

9 dvds to go, or 8 if someone kicks in an extra $4, and we'll make Sidekick eat their algorithmically derived words!

$2975 has been pledged. If you haven't done so already, you can be the person who guarantees this goes through.

Now that $25 more than necessary has been pledged, sidekick gives this a 75% chance of succeeding.

Seems like a worthless site. What is its purpose?

According to the "About" page, the founder says he built the site to showcase the work he did during his PhD. Since he writes "during my PhD", a construction which makes no grammatical sense, we must guess at the meaning. One interpretation would be that he held a PhD for a while, and later had it revoked.

In any case, I think it's very brave of you to go ahead when people with impressive academic credentials say you have a 25% chance of not getting $3000 pledged when you have $3025 pledged. Of course, it would seem to me that you have a 0% chance of failure now, but I have never been awarded a doctorate, even temporarily.

Congrats on getting this funded, I look forward to it.

The DVD art looks good, but in the brief description on the back, it seems like something is missing in the last sentence.
