New Kickstarter: George Arliss Grave Maintenance Project

PostMon Apr 02, 2018 2:04 pm

Today I'm launching my first Kickstarter funding project and I can't think of a better project to ask your support. As you may know, two years ago we managed to secure funding from a corporate donor to restore the terribly neglected grave of George Arliss and his wife Florence. Now phase two needs your help to fund annual maintenance expenses to keep the grave site from falling back into disrepair. Please read below and especially my premium gift for pledges $25 or more. Not available in any store! Thanks very much!

Only a few days into the funding campaign and we are a third of the ways towards the goal. Not bad at all. Please consider participating. Thank you.

Today, on GA's birthday, we continue to inch our way towards the goal with 20 days remaining. In the mail I received a check from a backer who did not wish to donate through the Kickstarter site. It was most welcomed!

Donated. Glad to do it on his birthday.

While we’re talking about Kickstarter projects.... we’ll, I just was... this one has about a week to run and it’s worth doing.

OK folks, we're down to the last seven days of this "all or nothing" funding project. We are more than half way to our goal and I like to think this is perhaps the most unusual film-related project you will come across. Please consider making a donation before the end of this week. Make it at least $25 and you will receive a unique collectable of eight oversized George Arliss trading cards in color. I designed them myself and each set is my gift to thank you for your help!
