Which gangster character has the best name? Slaughterhouse Scorpio? Goldie Gorio or maybe Diamond Pete Montana? Bullweed?

After over a decade of pretty watered down gangster movies, what led to the rawness of white heat? Was it Dillinger?

UCLA has a copy of this Fox pre-code...maybe Disney will remake it?

(I'm being facetious of course, but since TCM has been showing Disney titles, maybe it'll turn up there eventually.)

I bought these Outside the Law stills. Are they original? Did the 1930 remake of Outside the Law ever have any kind of rerelease that would be promoted with movie stills?

Not too many gangster fans around these parts, or any parts it seems. Tod Browning is so trendy and Freaks is so popular but Outside the Law is relatively unknown. I'm surprised it isn't more well regarded. The Hello Fingers shot shown above certainly paved the way for those menacing frames in Little Caesar

That top left shot looks like "Smart Money", too.

I don't think so. I just watched Smart Money last night, plus it looks like he has on the same tie as the hello fingers one
