Boy and the Eagle (1949 RKO Short)

PostThu Feb 16, 2017 11:57 am

Does anyone know if The Boy and the Eagle (1949) is available anywhere? It was nominated for Best Short Subject 2 Reel at the Oscars. Starred Dickie Moore. I was wanting to see it, but can't find it anywhere.

I'm a big Dickie Moore fan and I've never seen it anywhere. Only stills.

Since it is an RKO short, hopefully one day it will show up on Turner Classic Movies.

A friend has a 16mm print. I also have a lobby card from the short.

The pre-1955 (or so) RKO short films aren't part of the Time Warner library; the studio sold them long before the Turner acquisition.
