Children's Film Foundation - revised versions

PostSun Dec 17, 2017 3:56 pm

Two CFF films I watched recently, THE SECRET CAVE (1953) and ADVENTURE IN THE HOPFIELDS (1954) bore the legend 'Revised 1972' {or 'Revised Version 1972'). As both ran for the standard 45m - 60m running time, I wondered what changes had been made, and why? Were any others treated that way for re-issue?

The poster speculated they had been trimmed to fit into tv slots.
