Where did this come from?

PostWed Apr 25, 2018 2:09 pm

Watching Victor Halperin's NATION AFLAME (ok, I should know better), there was something familiar about the night-club montage in the latter part of the film. Although NATION AFLAME was released in 1937, this footage (from 63m into the upload) seems much earlier, say 1930 or 1931. Any suggestions?

These queries would benefit enormously from the courtesy of a link to the film in question.

The footage looks vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place it of the top of my head. Maybe a montage from something like The Wet Parade?

Not seen THE WET PARADE, although of course it could have been used there too. Wondered if it may have originally come from Halperin's EX-FLAME (1931), which I think is still on the missing list...
