Amazingly, this is available for the same price on Amazon.ca, which doesn't often happen. (Considering the exchange rate, it might be cheaper for those in the U.S. to buy it from Canada, even when you add in the shipping cost.)

Meanwhile, that Cary Grant set is $55 at Amazon.ca.

In addition to the Tati collection above, there are some other bargains on Amazon. Check your wish lists.

Also:
Last year in early October (October 9th), Criterion had a 50% off "Flash" sale, only 24 hours long.
So, that might happen too.

Thanks.

I just sent in my Criterion order. I was puzzled by "BAGGU tote" at the end of the order.
I guess I'm getting a "tote" bag for free.

Yes, if you ordered over $100 worth of films, you get a free Baggu tote bag.

I ordered Diabolique and one of the films on my all-time awe-inspiring (can't use the destroyed word "awesome" anymore) list, Andrei Rublev. Never seen the former film, and have seen the latter film twice in theatre, once on TV, and twice on the old Beta (!!) copy I made 30 years ago. One of the best and worst films ever made. The thing that scares me about ordering it is that it was butt-numbingly long at 140 minutes all the previous times I've seen it, and Criterion has restored one hour of missing footage!

I see that now. Once upon a time I had a T-shirt from them, but it is lost to history.

Regarding long films, now we can make our intermissions whenever we like. I recently watched Woodstock over several days, just as if I was there... well, not quite.

For Canadians, a far better price can be had by walking into an HMV and getting this 14-film set for only $50. This week only, apparently.
