SWAC, I first saw that workhorse actor as various gunsels and yeggs in THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN.

I thought Charles Lane might have more credits than Chandler, but nope, Chandler has around 100 more credits on IMDb! But it looks like Lane, who had more serious acting chops, simply got better bit parts, and didn't do so much extra work.

Lane had both a great look and a great voice, so it's no wonder he got more substantial bit parts and wouldn't be wasted as an extra.

I was surprised to discover that THE GOLF SPECIALIST is actually not his first appearance in a sound film as has been reported everywhere else.

Rare photos too, including some never published in other sources.

The book is available for pre-order at amazon.com

I saw that book on McFarland's website, but I couldn't find any information on it, so I thought, well it couldn't be that great then. Well, duh, it hadn't come out yet! (If it's any consolation, I bought three of your other books.)
