Uploading Pictures To A Thread From Your Computer

PostMon Nov 03, 2014 10:06 pm

I'm having the same problem with this as some have with Avatars. The pictures have to be unbelievably small to work. Do I have to upload them to another website, and then use the URL upload option?

Rather than store the pictures on the board, I recommend using the Flickr method, here.

Thanks. I'll give it a try when I have a chance.

EDIT: I see it forces you to use your yahoo account which in effect would link it to my email. Also, it demands a mobile number and I don't have the text option. Between these two factors I'll have to decline.

You don't have to use Flickr. Any photo uploading service will do. I don't have a membership to any of these services, but have my photos on my own website that I can link to on Nitrateville.

As I said on another thread, I recommend Imgur. It's specifically designed for exactly this purpose - hosting photos to be posted on other websites - and it automatically generates the code that you need to paste into a Nitrateville post.

I used to use tinypic.com, which you don't even need to sign up to use, but I've found it no longer works properly for me (it won't let me cut and paste the code that it generates). You may have more luck with it.
