New films at Europa Site

PostFri Jan 02, 2009 8:29 pm

In the past week, the European Film Archives has posted a bunch of new titles. Those of you who haven't seen enough Danish dancers or Italian slapstick might wish to check it out.

As an updated note, there are now two dozen newly posted films at the Europa site, including Duvivier's MAMAN COLIBRI.

Thanks for the info. I checked the site. But, unfortunately, this print of Maman Colibri is incomplete. I saw the film at the CF recently; it clocked 105 min (and was still incomplete). I was rather disappointed by the film. The story felt hoary and dated. But the masked ball scene at the beginning was visually exciting. But it's not Duvivier's best.
