Script Problems

PostSun Jul 07, 2013 8:18 am

Every single thread I click on leads to delays in uploading the page, then a warning that a script is causing delays in Internet Explorer that may result in my computer no longer responding.

I did not have this problem when I left on vacation July 4th. I did not have access to a computer until today, so this is the first time I have experienced it.

1) Try a different browser and let me know if you have the same issue.

2) Try emptying your cache in IE and restarting it. Sometimes, once a browser gets something, it won't drop it even when it's no longer there.

It seems to be okay in Mozilla Firefox.

Have there been any changes made to N'Ville's platform in recent weeks? It seems to be no longer compatible with my slightly ancient version of Internet Explorer (which came with Windows XP sometime around 2008 or 2009). I've tried it on two different computers, two different ISPs, and two different locations. Mozilla has no problems, but then Mozilla regularly does automatic updating of my version whereas IE doesn't.

What version of IE are you running?

I run IE 8 on an XP machine that I use for work, and don't generally have problems. Though I can't say that in this instance, because I do my personal web surfing with Firefox. So maybe this isn't helpful.

If you're still running IE 6... lot's of places don't support 6 any more.
