Problem with Quote tags?

PostMon Sep 09, 2013 1:54 pm

When I made my post at http://www.nitrateville.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15228&p=115888#p115888 and attempted to use the 'quote' tags, the format came out a little peculiar. I see that Jim Roots has also been having some problems with the quote tag (seehttp://www.nitrateville.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15753&p=115883#p115883).

Perhaps there's been some kind of software update that introduced a glitch?

You clicked "code," not "quote." They're side by side on the bar.

Mike: fittingly enough, when I tried to quote you to rebut, the quote button is not working.

It's working in other threads, but not this one.

Not sure what you are referring to as the "code" button. In Mozilla, the threads have only two buttons on the right side: a quote button, and an exclamation mark. Not likely that I would mistake the one for the other, though I can't speak for Brooksie.

When you hit reply and get the box to type in, quote and code are among your choices above the text box.

See if you can quote using that one. Of course, worst comes to it, you can simply type the code manually-- bracket quote bracket and bracket slash quote bracket.

Well, in the reading pane for each thread, every posting has a "Quote" button for instant reply to that particular posting, which is a lot more convenient than scrolling down to the bottom of the thread and hitting "Post Reply" and then typing in the quote.

Incidentally, the "Quote" button worked on this posting.

Yes, I know, I was asking you to do it that way to help diagnose the problem.

This is a quote that I made up.

It all seems to work for me. :)
