I want to make a small banner for my signature line.

What is the current image dimensions I can use?

It looks to me as though the limitation is in terms of text length, 255 characters.
You could post your banner image on your favorite photo site, the URL address for which has to be shorter than that.
The size of your banner could be anything that doesn't screw up the "looks" of the thread.

Yeah, I don't know that there's a specific size, just that I would like it not to be the type of forum where every post has the equivalent of a bumpersticker-sized image of Mr. Natural flipping off Osama Bin Laden that has rainbow colors and sparkles...
