Film Preservation Blog on FilmsinReview

PostWed Sep 07, 2016 6:15 pm

I have started a new blog series on www.filmsinreview.com, which is the internet continuation of the long running Films In Review magazine. This blog series, "Glenn's Nitrate Lounge" will feature articles about film preservation projects that deserve all the exposure and press they can get. My latest article is the restoration of the 1930 Tiffany Production- MAMBA. You can read the article here- http://69.195.124.61/~filmsinr/2016/07/29/mamba/. I am anxious for feedback, and for ideas for future articles. - Glenn Andreiev

Great to see you here Glenn. There are a lot of recent and current restoration projects being helmed by Nitrateville members including

Little Orphant Annie (1928) by Eric Grayson
Little Mickey Grogan (1927) by Eric Grayson and Jeff Crouse
Many silent cartoon restorations by Tommy Stathes
Silent comedy DVDs and the Accidentally Preserved series by Ben Model and Steve Massa
Recent Marion Davies and Bebe Daniels DVDs by Ed Lorusso
Two new Lois Weber films by Milestone Films and Dennis Doros
Numerous restorations by David Shepard and Serge Bromberg by Flicker Alley
