Urgent Question About Nitrate Print

PostThu Jul 27, 2017 4:30 am

Hi there folks, I bought about 400ft of a great nitrate original of a Hal Roach comedy a while ago. It is called "Join the Circus" from 1923 and stars Snub Pollard and Paul Parrot. Unfortunately the seller (god knows why) split the film in half and stated he had sold part 2 separately.

Hoping a film lover on Nitrateville bought part 2, since I am now in the position to restore the film. The rest of "Join the Circus" does exist in 16mm, but that cut second reel would be of much higher quality, being an original 35mm nitrate print. If your reading this: I would love to borrow your print and have a contact negative made at Fotokem if that's alright. Email me at [email protected] for details. Thanks.

Any chance you can check the seller feedback. You may get lucky and find the other buyer might have left feedback for the sale. At least that would give you an user id to work with on this matter.
