Forgive the watermarks, but I wanted to post a few stills here from a work-in-progress. In the 1980s, I salvaged two rolls of 16mm Kodachrome Color Reversal film--headed for the dumpster!--of the premieres of "Star!"(at the Fox Wilshire, 1968) & "The Agony and The Ecstasy" (at the Carthay Circle, 1965).
In "Star!" you can see Regis Philbin & Army Archerd interviewing Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards on the red carpet.
In "The Agony and The Ecstasy" Army Archerd & Jim Backus are interviewing Gene Kelly.
These frame grabs are from a 2k scan done at Fotokem in Burbank.
