I want to see some of that 9-strip Technicolor.

Ugh... this article is sickening in its own mythology. Ignition by friction? Nine-strip Technicolor? Gimme a break.

(For what it's worth, there was such a thing as six-strip Technicolor: when the company put together two rigs for 3-D purposes— imagine loading that rig!)

I'd like to try and see anyone try and ignite nitrate film using only as much friction as one would encounter from the film simply passing through the gate. Maybe if you tried in Egypt standing next to a furnace with an open door? As Jack says, sickening in its own mythology.

Never let facts get in the way of sensationalism eh!
