A rarity that only Max Glücksmann could have produced. This was the very last recording I saved in Argentina, directly from an original 78 rpm disc, before I moved to the United States.

I also have a contemporary recording by the Francisco Canaro orchestra, but this one is the memorable version because the arrangement is less rhythmical and more elaborated.

PIEDAD, tango (Carlos Percuocco)

ENRIQUE DELFINO (DELFY) - piano
ANTONIO RODIO - violín

1st prize in the 1929 Max Glücksman tango contest (lyrics and music)

Disco Nacional Odeon

1929

Canaro played a lovely, lyrical form of tango that is very nice to dance to - thanks for posting.
