Here's a post about Constantin Bakaleinikoff I wrote for the blog The Daily Mirror. He started many of the orchestras at the large theatres around Los Angeles, before becoming music director/conductor at several studios.

Since he was always listed as C. Bakaleinikoff on RKO movies, I never knew his first name until some movie, I don't remember what, where the titles were read out loud and they said "Constantin."

He had a very musical name. Strike up the bakaleinikoff!

Bakaleinikoff appears in a couple of RKO features and actually has a nice little role (as himself) in DING DONG WILLIAMS.
