Ah, some of the best bits of one of my favorite Stooges shorts, Nuns With Knockers.

This movie wasn't green-lit,
it ran a red light.

Looks okay, although Curly is scarily large.

I am kind of aware that "Snooki" is some sort of TV star, but don't know who she is. Is that really her in the movie? Hmm.

I gotta say that trailer brought back fond memories of watching the Stooges on Saturday mornings. I'm looking forward to it. (yeah, I know I'll be disappointed)

The nun at the beginning, believe it or not, is Larry David sans glasses. You'd never know it unless you looked at imdb. Jane Lynch is also in the trailer, though putting big stars in nun's habits where they are all but unrecognizable would seem to be a knuckleheaded move.

I have to admit some of it made me laugh, in spite of me not wanting it to....

Yeah, same here I'm afraid. The "Moe" is eerily good, the "Larry" is not too shabby either, but neither will counterbalance the awfulness of the "Curly." Being Catholic, I'm already appalled and disgusted, which is probably a good thing, but that's just part and parcel to my real objection: the need for that "edginess" that masquerades as "cool" in the 21st century. Maybe if this had been set in the 1930's, it'd be more... intriguing? But no. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the three of them do a hip-hop rap number over the closing credits.

I saw this and it wasn't quite as horrible as I expected it to be. Gailaird actually did a pretty good Oliver Hardy. The other guy was ok. The story and direction and everything else was just bad. Really bad.

I have seen all the Columbia Stooges shorts and I don't remember ever seeing a Nun in any of them. I guess the trailer did make me think haha

It's no small achievement to be simultaneously the feel-good movie of the year and a more violent picture than THE GODFATHER. Notice it's basically got the same plot as THE BLUES BROTHERS...?

I found much to admire with this movie actually. The Farrelly Brothers did not go for the wall-to-wall toilet humour I was dreading, and the whole movie could easily have been filmed by the real Stooges back in the day. The three leads were astonishingly spot-on. They've obviously worked hard to get the mannerisms down pat and letter-perfect. Thank goodness they didn't go with the stupid stunt casting that was being bandied about for so long, that would have proven fatally distracting. Turns out it's still true that all you need to be funny is to have your comics plunge from great heights, smash resoundingly into the ground as limp dummies, then get up completely unhurt and just looking annoyed and indignant about having fallen from a building in the first place. The Farrellys were saavy enough to recognize they shouldn't make the film 100% mindless mayhem and even included some touches that make you care about the comics (shades of Irving Thalberg!) and give the film some heart. They even show up in person at the end with rubber props to briefly demonstrate, in a nutshell, "Kids-don't-try-this-at-home." This is the first movie I recall seeing in a long time that seemed to care about my children's well-being!

Well, that's something. When the New Yorker spoke to the Farrelly Bros about the project in 2004, "wall to wall toilet humour" seemed to be the plan.
