AMPAS has totally landscaped and finished their outdoor screening area, and will be hosting screenings throughout the summer, along with food trucks to provide a nice evening repast:

Here's a story from Deadline.com, which goes into detail about the screenings and some of the Academy's upcoming programs for summer and fall:

From the press release:

The Academy will also host a busy schedule of events at its theaters in Los Angeles and New York as well as programs at venues in London, the San Francisco Bay area and Washington D.C. Summer-fall highlights include a centennial celebration of Universal Pictures, featuring a slate of the studio’s landmark horror films; "The Science of Superheroes;" and "The Last 70mm Film Festival," which will span six genres over six weeks.

The calendar contained in the link currently does not go beyond May? I'm very curious as to what programs would be presented in these other cities - any clue at this time?

Events are only shown a month at a time as always, per the website or the monthly listing. Events that played LA, such as IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, UPSTREAM, etc., will play in other cities. Some of these sites will see original programming, like last year's salute to Kevin Brownlow in London, Monday nights with Oscar in New York, etc.
