Re: Remastered FRANKENSTEIN (1910) available at the LoC website!

Has anyone found the link to the YouTube version? It's mentioned in that blog entry, but I can't find it. EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded a copy myself... with permission from composer Donald Sosin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67ENQibFW9w Btw, I initially got a Cloudflare timeout if I tried to ...

Does anyone knows if an official release of the new restoration will come out either from Universal or another publisher (Criterion, Flicker Alley, Undercrank, Kino Lorber, etc) ?

Hi. I'm in a bit of a dilemna. I would like to purchase this short films collections, but two distributors are offering it: Kino Lorber & Eureka Video/Masters of cinema. Which one would you recommand ? I'm not really bothered by the region playing restrictions, so it all falls down to quality and fe...

Let's hope that all those discoveries from this festival will find their way to home video (one way or another). Especially for Faust and Rosita.

I really hope that all of these wont be scatered to the winds and vultures (like it happened with Forry Ackerman & David Shepard) ? Don't take this the wrong way. But with ...

Hello All. Sorry to bring back this old thing, but I thought it'll be more appreciated than starting a new thread on the same subject. So, very recently, I wanted to buy this title from ReelClassic DVD, until I was stopped cold by this notice written in red letters: AVAILABLE IN USA ONLY. Knowing th...

Great news indeed Scott. Keep banging those doors and finding those treasures. About Phil. Riley, anyone knows what's happening to the stuff he collected over the years ? I haven't heard anything about it (except of his passing, or course). As for Jack Treakston, where is he now ? It's been a while ...

Yeah. I've seen nearly all of the french versions: -1934, both at the Cinematheque Quebecoise during a film Marathon to commemorate the Victor Hugo's bi-centenial in 2002. I later saw the blu ray one which was a new recent restauration with some newly found shots (a few of those shots weren't includ...

Very nice. Try to subdue the blue color a little more because it looks a little too saturated. BTW, do we have informations on which parts was done with each different color process (early 2 color Technicolor, Hansdschigle(?) & Prizzma color if I remember correctly) ?

In one of the DVD extras they mention that this is the source for the DVD audio, or at least for the line "Now I know what it feels like to be god.". Maybe it was even used for the entire film, because in some cases, the discs offered better audio quality than the optical soundtrack. Brings me to t...

Yes, one or two questions:

Aside of the german and french version, what other versions did survive (if any) ?

Will those alternate versions find their way do dvd/bluray releases ?
