I'm pleased to announce the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra's third CD Elite Syncopations: Favorites from the Ragtime Era will feature 20+ tracks of ragtime, theater, and dance music from the 1880s through the 1920s performed off of the original orchestrations. A number of the pieces on here will be familiar to silent film fans, as they're commonly used in modern accompaniments for films (ex. Robert Israel used "Spangles: Intermezzo" in his fantastic score to Chaplin's Behind The Screen", and several of the pieces featured are used heavily in our scores to Harold Lloyd films.) Of course many favorites by Scott Joplin, Irving Berlin, and the kings of ragtime will be featured.
PRSO and I need your help to make it a reality! We've launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $4000 to cover remaining costs for production. In return for your pledge/donation, we're offering finished and signed copies of the CD, tickets to PRSO shows, and more! Please donate if you are able and spread the word!
