This Thursday October 29th I will be showing a 16mm print of "The Mystery Of The Wax Museum" (1933), Directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Lionel Attwil, and Fay Wray (Hollywood's first scream-queen), who would star in King Kong later that year. The film was remade 20 years later as "House of Wax", which was shot in color and 3-D and starred Vincent Price. This film was originally shot in a two color Technicolor process, but at the time this print was made the color print was lost, and only black and white ones survived.
All films in the series are on Reel Film, Thursday evenings through March at 7:30PM at The WOMR Davis Space in The Schoolhouse 494 Commercial St. in Provincetown, MA. There will be a $5 dollar suggested donation to help community supported radio WOMR during the off season. Free Popcorn will be provided by The Provincetown Inn, and Beer, Wine, and Soda will be available for donation too
