I'm tired to hear about 4K TV or even 8K TV, and we don't even have a decent HD TV display technology.
Even IPS, it makes the image very darker if looked in a low angle, despite the silly tech talk of manufactures related to 175 degree angle.
What about contrast?
Do you remamber about CRT times, when you increased image contrast adjust to maximum, and the image did not get a shit, the highlights did not blow out in a disgusting pure white mess?
Why digital image contrast adjustment control of digital TVs need to be so stupid ?
