PAL to NTSC problem

Unread post by malocchio » Fri Jul 07, 2017 10:38 am

I have an old region free Panasonic dvd recorder..Have converted PAL dvd's to NTSC many times, but they had no copyguard on them...Recently got a PAL dvd that does have copyguard ..Any advice you can give on copying will be appreciated..I have Freemake and TDMore copy programs, but PAL with copyguard is a problem..I do not have "advanced" computer skills by the way !

Assuming that these will be copies for own use, just use DVD shrink. (Make sure to download it from the right place, I've noticed some sites claim to offer it but it's infected - the untampered original is fine, I've been using it for probably 10 years.)

In fact there is also a way to "trick" the equipment, saves a lot of time and re-encoding. You can find it here: ... -method%29" target="_blank
