Your opinion on Kodak Pageant 16mm sound projector

Unread post by Daniel D. Teoli Jr. » Mon Jan 29, 2018 9:22 am

Were the Kodak Pageant 16mm sound projectors a good series for reliability, decent quality output and ease of use?

Are any of the Pageant series a problem child and should be excluded from consideration?

What about availability of parts and bulbs?

Thanks!

A quick search shows that the extremely helpful people at http://16mmfilmtalk.com have a plethora of thoughts on the subject, I bet your answer is somewhere in the results there.

Not really. I tried it. You can spend hours and not get much for your time. I'd like to buy some and was wondering what members thought of them. But, if no one has an opinion on it, then will have to dig elsewhere.

They are very reliable, and I like that they can show films at 18 fps instead of just 24 fps.

I have two Pageants and they are very gentle with film and forgiving with splices.
