I realize that TCM-HD is not yet widely available, but what the heck is going on with them. They are inconstantly showing 1.37 moves zoomed in to fill the 16:9 HD tv screen. Not all the time, just enough to be annoying. Recently, they zoomed in Tillie's Punctured Romance, so that the heads and dialog cards were cut off, and zoomed in Meet John Doe last week. Is there someone/somewhere we can complain about this?

TCM standard definition does not have this problem.

Don't worry about it Mitchell. In another few years the audience for pre-1953 movies will have disappeared and TCM will only show 1:85 and scope pictures. And when they DO run CASABLANCA, WIZARD OF OZ and SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, they will have vertical versions of the old Universal doily mattes on the sides. :D
