"Tommy's career began in movies during the late 1930s and continues to this day. He played {from 1938}
in tons of radio shows - everything from "Blondie" {3 1/2 years} and "The Life of Riley" {4 1/2 years} and Baby Snooks to perhaps his most famous role as Little Beaver in "Red Ryder" {on radio and film}.
On
television, he appeared in many live anthology programs, plus made
guest appearances on "The Untouchables", "The Rifleman", "Perry Mason", "Marcus Welby, MD", "CHiPs",
and "Hart to Hart". He's also done numerous voices for cartoons, and when he wasn't acting, he was playing
tennis...in fact, Tommy is also a world-renowned tennis champion!
- we'll talk about all of this and read your e-mails too! "

One of the show's favorite guests is back again to continue discussing his long career in radio, on TV, and
in the movies. Tommy's last visit ended in the early 1950s, after having a very long run playing youth roles
in radio and starting to work in the early days of television. We'll pick it up right there as we talk about
many of Tommy's episodic guest roles as well as some of his movies, including the now cult classic,
"Teenage Crime Wave". We'll talk about Tommy's appearances in live TV, on "Dragnet", "Wyatt Earp",
"M Squad", "Have Gun, Will Travel", "The Untouchables", "Perry Mason", and many others. We'll also
discuss his voiceover work in cartoons for Filmation and Hanna-Barbera, and how he became a champion
tennis player along the way, organizing celebrity tournaments that raised millions of dollars for charities.
Plus, we'll read your e-mails! "

Tommy's a very good actor (I've had the pleasure of playing with him), a great story teller, and a generous man.

When I was interviewing him about his radio CHRISTMAS CAROL opposite Basil Rathbone, he gifted me with several helpful 8" x 10"s.

Tommy Cook will be a guest at the Mid Atlantic Nostalgia Convention this September. Folks like me who live in Maryland will get the rare chance of meeting him in person and getting his autograph.
