Before Perry Mason (still seen twice a weekday on ME-TV) and Ironsides (once each weekday on ME-TV),
there was his 1956 radio series, Fort Laramie
Those hoping to hear a legal drama- A Little House on the Prairie Mason - might be disappointed, but it is a not-that-bad western program:
Fort Laramie- all 43 Episodes

Burr's first Variety appearance, for the flop, Crazy With the Heat.
Burr would later play, in Pasadena, the Karloff role in Arsenic and Old Lace (here reviewed, out of town, on the same Variety page as Crazy With The Heat.)

Not that bad?

With respect, JFK - it's excellent.

A model example of Late Network Radio Drama, which like Late Silent Cinema, had mastered itself just as it began a decline.

As with a select few other radio shows of the era like DRAGNET and GUNSMOKE, it is adult (more so than much TV at the time) in tone, and well written, produced, and performed.
