French Movie Actor Jean Rochefort Passes Away

Unread post by momsne » Tue Oct 10, 2017 9:49 am

French actor Jean Rochefort passed away Monday, October 8, 2017. Not well known in the United States, he appeared in 117 movies, among them "Le Crabe-Tambour" (Drummer Crab), a 1977 movie where Rochefort's performance garnered him the Best Actor César award for a French movie. Rochefort had only a limited ability to speak English, which limited his performing in U.S. movies. So, at 87 years of age, Rochefort exits the scene stage right.

Sad news. I really enjoyed just about every picture he appeared in. R.I.P.

Great comic actor. A pity he fell ill during the disaster of Gilliam trying to shoot his Quixote film with him.
