Rodney Bewes 1937-2017

Unread post by earlytalkiebuffRob » Wed Nov 22, 2017 1:34 pm

Dying just a few days shy of his 80th birthday, Bewes was more of a familiar face to British tv viewers, his most famous role being that of the ambitious Bob (opposite James Bolam's laid-back Terry) in 'BBC-TV's The Likely Lads' and its follow up series 'Whatever Happened to...' He also appeared in a number of films*, including BILLY LIAR and SPRING AND PORT WINE as well as a number of smaller roles in addition to stage experience.

*plus, of course the 'big-screen' spin-off of THE LIKELY LADS, which is perhaps best forgotten...

Sad. I quite remember "The Likely Lads" - those blokes weren't much older than I .... time just goes don't it! :?
