"Ridin' Thru" from Oldies.com

Unread post by MaryGH » Fri Mar 23, 2018 9:12 pm

I was poking around on Oldies.com for a particular DVD when much to my surprise they actually offer a print of "Ridin' Thru" (1934) on a western double feature, the second film being "The Fighting Trooper" (1934) with Kermit Maynard. The same company also offers another western double feature, "Call of the Desert" (1930) and "The Fighting Stallion" (1927) with Yakima Canutt. These must be fairly recent releases as I have not seen them on Oldies.com before, which is where I bought most of the Tom Tyler DVD's I now own.

Their monthly catalog on newsprint is very detailed and has a ton of silent film dvd's listed for sale. Many have the alpha home entertainment label on them.

I love reading their print catalog, I've purchased other DVD's like "Dementia 13" (1963) and "The Devils Hand" (1961) from them.

It is nice to see someone else releasing some of Tom Tyler's movies on DVD.

Bought a copy of it and was pleasantly surprised to discover that Alpha Video copied it from a chocolate-brown print.

A nice addition to my collection.
