Some great specials at the BFI store right now.

Several films/sets at half-price, £10 instead of £20:
Electric Edwardians, link
A Cottage on Dartmoor, link
Fairy Tales: Early Stencil Colour Films from Pathé, link
Early Cinema: Primitives and Pioneers, link (I own this, it's great!)
Dreyer's Master of the House, link
Chaplin Mutuals, vol 1, vol 2
Frank Borzage films, vol 1, vol 2
People on Sunday, link
Lotte Reiniger Fairytale Films, link

Also ...
Piccadilly, link, £9
A Throw of Dice, link, £8
Adventures of Prince Achmed, BR/DVD, link, £11

And the best special of all ... two Ozu silent collections reduced from £30 to £12

I guess it's obvious that I treated myself to a few things :)

Criterion Sale

For the last two years (at least) Criterion has had a "Flash Sale" of 50% off full retail prices
near the end of February. Last year it was on Feb. 25, the year before on the 26th.

So, clean up those wish lists, etc., just in case.

Don't know if there is anybody left that doesn't already have it, but I noticed that Oldies.com has Pauk Gierucki's "The Forgotten Films of Fatty Arbuckle" 4 DVD box set on closeout for $9.98. It originally sold for $50. A smokin' deal

Deepdiscount.com has a 15 percent off sale for Cyber Monday enter code Click15 - and they usually have the best prices online and only require a $25 purchase for free postage.

Tip - If you don't see a title under dvd look it up under "all products" - I've found several dvds there that don't pull up when specificially looking for dvds for some reason, usually smaller company titles. They also have several made-on-demand titles at lower prices than at those sites.

Not in stock at the moment, but you can order it and wait:

$115.49 at Amazon, 61% off. It's not on the main page, but it's at the top of the link below:

The Ultimate Buster Keaton Collection [14-Disc Blu-ray Box Set]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/ ... 701&sr=8-1" target="_blank" target="_blank

Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship the item.

This is a great bargain for those who have not already purchased a lot of the Kino Buster Keaton blu-rays (such as me).
One of the reviews is very helpful and will answer a lot of questions.

I got an e-mail last night from Grapevine advertising a Grapevine March Madness Sale. The sale does not apply to DVD's issued in 2016. The sale is for purchasing two or more DVD's issued prior to 2016 and you get 50% off. Glad for that recent thread of Grapevine Gems. I can use this sale to start chipping away at the suggestions I got. :-)

Sale ends 31 March.

Not sure if this has been posted here or not, but All-Day Entertainment's 3-DVD set American Slapstick Vol. 2 is priced to clear at $5. I just got one last week, and have already blazed my way through the first disc, which includes a number of early Harold Lloyd shorts, some of Hal Roach's lesser-known players and a batch of Educational Pictures shorts. Quality ranges from good to very good to excellent, with shorts by Snub Pollard, Lloyd Hamilton, Syd Chaplin, Larry Semon (with Babe Hardy) and Alice Howell as well as Lloyd.

For Amazon Prime Members Only. (sometimes these exclusives become available to everyone later.)
DVD storage boxes. I don't have any experience with these, but they have nice reviews
and the price is right: EDIT: There are some very bad reviews too, didn't read those before.
