Well, it's just funded in about eight and a half hours, but of course there's a second disc of comedies to put out, and some restoration to do, so it will probably take another couple of days to raise ten grand or so. Spread the word, folks. Surely in this new, feminist world, there's a place for a first-rate silent comedienne on dvd!

If the imdb credits are to be believed, these shorts feature co-stars whose names could be
profitably mentioned on the Kickstarter page.
Also, Sons of the Desert members might want to spread the word.
And, it would not hurt to
a.) mention the project or finished product on the Wikipedia pages of all those involved in the original films
b.) create or update pages for the individual films:

How Stars are Made (1916)
Directed by  John G. Blystone Produced by  Henry Lehrman

In Dutch (1918)
Directed by  John G. Blystone Produced by  Abe Stern Julius Stern

A Convict's Happy Bride (1920)

The Kickstarter hit its funding goal in about 8 hours!

There are 16 days left, and if you want to know why you should still make a pledge (or increase the one you made), take another look at the Kickstarter page to find out why.

Thanks again for pledging and sharing the link. We're not done yet…

Pledged Mr. Model! I look forward to adding this to my collection. My brother and father both sounded pretty excited about this as well.

Is one of these shorts the one where she's at a party & steps onto women's skirt trains to move about?

Probably not. The films on the planned DVD have not been available to the general public before. The one Alice Howell short that's been around is CINDERELLA CINDERS, which is on the ReelclassicDVD of "Ella Cinders" and on the AllDay "American Slapstick 2" box, as well as being on YouTube and on Archive.

Better and better. In as well. I am assuming the bonus DVD at the top level is not the same as the bonus DVD on the last go-round?

Ben could just pull a James Horner and release the same stuff over again and hope no one notices. I mean, it works for John Williams.
