Now that's class--TWO birdcages in the lady's marble bath. (However, a hand rail, gold-plated of course, would be handy.)

You always want to have a bird to kiss. Even if it's a waterfowl.

This one I've never seen before. Couldn't find it on ABE.
It's fairly new. Charles Epting is the editor of Silent Film Quarterly. (Speaking of which, I just received the latest issue yesterday, with Harry Langdon on the cover. Another fine job -- and I see some articles written by our fellow Nitratevillagers, too!)

Seems so arbitrary what few Bebe titles survived (thank goodness). Was this just pure neglect on Paramount's part?

DUCKS AND DRAKES' "Good Little Bad Girl"

A search for the phrase "good little bad girl" got 53 results here

A proposed 1916 Taliafero film title...but four years later, it was a publicity department's sobriquet for Daniels

By July 1920, it was a song.........................................By 1926, it was outgrown, later to be applied to Bow and Del Rio

Looks like a calculated effort by Paramount to cook up a pre-packaged image for Bebe, which perhaps also coincided with their introduction of the Realart trade-name (for which pictures, as I understand it, exhibitor's were charged a premium).

"Don't you want a good little bad girl?" Actually, to tell the truth, I'd prefer a bad little bad girl.

If this song was actually written, I have my doubts that it was ever published; or if it was, it's got to be extremely rare, as I've never seen it. Other song sheets dedicated to her, or with her photo on the cover, show up regularly on ebay.

When was her speeding ticket and jail time? Was she already a "racy" little thing this early in the 20s?

That was 1921, resulting in The Speed Girl (1921) .

And she did it in style:

I see that this has been rated a "project we love" by the staff at Kickstarter.

80% funded as I write this.

No he wanted to buy "several films" and sell them to Netflix, etc. as in a business partnership.

Pierce-Arrows, they sure were, with Marmons coming in a close second. Would love to find any surviving pics of Francis X. Bushman's custom made purple Marmon. It reportedly had a spotlight that focused on Bushman's face when he drove at night. What showing off, but what style!

I take it the LOC's print of "Ducks and Drakes" will be utilized or thereof?

The one I'd be first in line to see is Kazan, or to allow him his proper title, "Kazan, the Wolf Dog," which ranked with White Fang & Call of the Wild among my most beloved childhood books; the sequel to it was Baree, Son of Kazan.

But WHO played Kazan? Strongheart, Rinty...? True to form, IMDB does not tell us.

According to what could be teased out of MHDL, Col. Selig went out and bought Kazan for the movie and then had him "thoroughly trained." Probably not one of the big dogs of Hollywood and likely doomed to anonymity.

Thanks--but anonymity is the fate of most of them, even those that played prominent parts in pictures much better known than this one.
