So,logically, there should be a spike when the project is announced, then a sudden downdraft and thats it.

Unless there has been a sudden new source of donors. Does anyone know of such?

I've kept a low profile so the project hasn't been posted anywhere except here ... that I know of. Some of the recent names are familiar; most, not.

Most successful campaign so far..... THANKS TO ALL
It was also on Movies Silently: http://moviessilently.com/2016/02/18/ne ... he-vaults/" target="_blank

A reminder email goes out to the people who have checked the "Remind Me" star associated with the project once there are 48 hours to go, so that explains some of the activity in the last 2 days of most projects.

That's the meaning? I thought it was a reference to the game of making a stone skip across the water--which of course made absolutely no sense as a title. Was this subtitle part of the original film, or did you insert it for clarification?

part of the film.... I've never heard the phrase in that context... I figured is was like "goose and gander" male vs female context....

my review from IMDb:

Bebe Daniels stars as Teddy Simpson, a poor little rich girl who is so bored that she calls random numbers in the phone book to vamp the men who answer. Unfortunately, several of the men she has hooked are friends of her fiancée (Jack Holt). When he overhears her phone number being mentioned he informs the men that they are carrying on with his intended bride. They hatch an elaborate plot to teach her a lesson.

Plot reaches a satisfactory conclusion in this fast-paced comedy that has star Bebe Daniels parade about in a dozen different outfits as she flits from scene to scene and is especially notable in the sunken bathtub scene (a la Gloria Swanson).

At 33, Holt seems a bit old for 20-year-old Bebe, but handles his role with grace and humor. Mayme Kelso is fun as Aunty Weeks, Bebe's guardian and a prime target of her pranks. Edward Martindel, Wade Boteler, and William Lawrence are the men in her life, and Maurie Newell and Elsie Andrean (each in their only film) are her friends.

Interiors are sumptuous and the lake scenes were filmed at Big Bear Lake in California. The houseboat was built for the movie. There are several scenes where Daniels zooms about in fast cars. In real life, she was ticketed for speeding, spent 10 days in jail in April 1921, and was nicknamed in the press as "the speed girl."

I don't think we have a Texas chapter so we'd have to use the phone for your regularly scheduled vamping, but I'll check--you should at get a candygram.

Got mine today!

Probably won't have a chance to watch it all tonight, but watched the first few minutes after I got home and it looks pretty good. Thanks for getting those films out there Ed.

Got mine today and popped it in. Great print and music score, and I'm very glad to have a copy in my collection, but unfortunately it appears that something went awry when using software to slow down the frame rate, as the stutter-motion artifacting caused by repeated and/or dropped frames is so severe that I'm betting even those not normally prone to noticing such things will notice it this time. For future projects, I'd recommend against using that software, unless a setting can be adjusted so as to not cause this sort of side effect; a slightly too fast frame rate would be preferable to this.

Mine arrived over the weekend, but I handed it straight over to my father-in-law, so I haven't had the pleasure of watching it yet. Hopefully soon!

I watched my copy today and did notice something odd a few times, wasn't quite sure what it was, perhaps it was dropped frames. But on the whole I was very pleased with the disc -- nice print and good score. Surprised to hear that Jack Holt was 33, I thought he was in his 40s; too old for Bebe. Thanks a lot for doing this Ed, I'm in again if you tackle another one. I especially liked the spicy funning. :D

Just finished watching it! It's always a special treat to see a "brand new" silent I've never seen before, especially with appropriate accompaniment. It's a very good print, and Dave Drazin's score is perfect! Thanks, Ed. What you've done to make these "forgotten" silents available to us is really appreciated. OK, I'm ready for the next project. Bring it on!

I watched my copy today and didn't notice any technical issues - a fun film which looks great and I love the accompaniment.

Many thanks Ed and I look forward to future projects and films.

Good to hear. Thanks. I think any problems might be from watching on a BLU player, but who knows....
